An organized mess :]

So today's post is just a quick look into my room and how I organize my makeup & accessories. Since I am in the process of packing its quite messy. All of the good stuff has already been packed except for my everyday essential. Hope this can give some of you some ideas. And if I left something out that you wanted to see just let me know in the comments ♥ 

This is the majority of my necklaces. I use to use those hooks you can stick on the wall but the weren't strong enough for some of my bigger pieces. So then i picked up this handy tie/belt hanger at the dollar store for only $1. It made organizing my necklaces so much easier. You can usually find the hanger at Bed Bath & Beyond, IKEA, Target and so on.

These are my earrings that I've had for years and don't really use. I just bought a roll of wide ribbon, cut it, and pierce the earrings through it. It works like a gem. I have also used a pair or cut tights which worked even better because it was easier to get the earring through the fabric. 

This is my everyday earrings and rings. I got this little flower jewelry holder at Claire's for $3. Its cute and its perfect for rings. Its also small unlike many other jewelry hangers which is good for an overcrowded vanity.

I have ALOT of bags and purses but I just stuff them inside one another and hang them up. I use an over the door hanger (usually used for towels or jackets). I prefer the metal ones because the plastic ones kept breaking on me and all y stuff would be on the floor. I got this one at Target in their dollar section near the entrance for $2.50.

This is just  a hanger style scarf holder. I picked it up at Target for a $1.

When i went to Mexico I had bought several body sets which came in these boxes, as gifts for my cousins. Since we flew there the boxes were to bulky to take and I ended up finding a great use for them. There was a window on the box but i used designer ads to cover it. I then labeled each box. I use it to store the majority of my make up. And since it hangs on the wall i have
more vanity and floor space.  

This is a make up box that my dad got me for Xmas when i was like 13. I absolutely adore it because i wanted it so bad and he had no idea. Well i currently use it to store my eye make up. Right now it only has my cheap stuff ad eyeliners in it because I already packed most of it. I used cardboard to add dividers for my mascara and shadow sticks. Oh and I did fail to mention
that the light bulbs actually work... Very Glamorous! 

I found it hard to find something to store my nail polishes and tools because i didn't want to have the in just one place. Because I use it all over the house I wanted to be able to move it around easily. I got these small totes at Walmart for around $5 each. I like the because they have a carrying handle and locking side so the top doesn't fly off.

I know its kind of hard to see because its all messy but... usually they're all in there neatly. So I had trouble finding a specific color and ended up coloring the tops of each nail polish with its own color. I did use white out and a base so the colors would visible since most of the caps we black.

Once again Target came to the rescue. I got this on clearance for 90% off. It ended up costing like $3. Its suppose to be a desk organizer but it worked perfect for my make up. It holds my lipsticks & chap sticks, my Clinique face cleansers & gel, my everyday make up, q-tips, tiny cups for mixing foundation, glasses & contacts supplies, eyebrow grooming stuff, and some makeup brushes. Its pretty big so it hold alot.

These are my scrunchies! The scrunchy ring came with like 100 ties. I bought mine at Meijers (like Walmart but its only in the Midwest). It was around $6.

And last but not least this is my Bratz doll head. I got it yeeeeaaaaarrrrsss ago for Xmas from my uncle. For some reason I find it hard to part with gifts so I have the forever luckily for "Sasha" i found a use for her lol. I use it to hold my headbands, clips, and bows. And I forgot to take a picture but i keep my bobby pins and tiny rubber bands in a glass candy dish that has a glass lid from Dollar Tree :]

The Traveling Closet...

So im moving cross country (just for a year). And as im only one month away from departure im realizing how difficult this is. Its not just emotionally difficult but im finding it hard to decide what to take. As a glamourista I have way too many things I want to take. I will of course buy a few things out there but im not trying to spend all my money. I think even tougher than deciding what to take is figuring out how to pack my makeup without it breaking because the airport employees can be pretty tough on your luggage. so some of my upcomming post will be about packing and travel. So hopefully you can all get some tips ifim successful or learn from my mistakes if im not ♥

Top 10 under $10 {Happy Feet}

Sandal season is here and we have to get our feet looking good! So here is my list of the top 10 products to keep our feet looking their best ♥

#1. While your feet are still dry use this scrub. I absolutely love it as do the friends i gave it to. The scrub takes off all the dead skin on your feet and the cream leaves a very smooth feel to your feet. They sell this just about anywhere they sell Sally Hansen products. It cost $9.99 but i actually picked up a few at Dollar Tree for only $1.00 each! It was such a steal i bought like 10 of them.

#2. Toe separators aren't a requirement but they make life a lot easier . They are super inexpensive, you can usually pick some up for $1. Now i prefer the jelly ones because they conform to you toes, last long, and are simply more comfortable.

#3. The pumice stone is an essential for proper foot care. I happen to like the EcoTools pumice stone because unlike others this one doesn't crumble apart as you're using it. Its also pretty cheap at $2.50. It is available at Target, Rite Aid, and Walgreen's.

#4. Simply put everyone needs a cuticle remover/pusher. This one is by Revlon and run around $3.

#5. This is a standard French manicure pen. Its just white polish in an easy to use marker style applicator. I like it because i have a very shaky hand so its hard for me to do it  with the regular nail polish. They dry super fast. They are made by many different brands but i just happen to use this one (also have it in black). I got mine at Rite Aid for $4.99

#6. This is a Vaseline type rub for rough spots on your feet. Its suppose to soften you feel and best used for your heels. Its from Sally's Beauty Supply and you can get a small container for $2.99

#7. These are just press on toenails. Its a quick fix. And its cheaper than getting a professional pedicure. They're available at most drugstores for $4.99

#8. I love love love these nail polishes. they are the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail color. The applicator brush is wide for easy and quick use, they stay on forever, they come in soooo many shades, and they are super affordable. You can find them at most drugstores for only $1.99!

#9. I know you've seen the stand in the mall where they try to sell you the nail buffer, lotion, and cuticle oil for like $50... no, for a special deal of 2/$25! well that's a total rip off. I will admit that i fell for it years ago when they first came out. But basically you can get the nail buffer for $1 just about anywhere. The most common one is the block buffer but i prefer the stick. the stick is easier to handle.  

#10. Finally number 10 are these aloe infused moisturizing sock. They  are  suppose to moisturize you feet by just wearing them. Honestly i don't know if they work but they are just so soft and comfy and i  recommend that everyone get a pair.

Now what i do suggest you do is... 1) lather up your feet with an excessive amount of lotion 2) put a plastic grocery bag over each foot 3) put socks on over the plastic bags. After a while remove, wipe away excess lotion, and enjoy you super soft summer ready feet :-)

Tanorexia... its getting serious O_o

So as summer approaches everyone is getting closer to achieving their desired bronze color. And not to offend anyone but that Jersey Shore tanorexic look isnt cute. Not to mention all of the awful side effects like... severe skin burns, aged skin, and skin cancer. So before you look like "exhibit A" and get reactions like "exhibit B" consider a more friendly approach. Trust me your skin and the earth will appreciate it ♥

#1: Okay so the first product up is the Custom Tan Self -Tan Lotion from Victoria's Secret. I just love all of their sunless tanning products. This specific one has a dial to choose how deep of a tan you want and how much shimmer. I love the shimmer in it because it is very flattering for the legs and any other area of the body. Its a cream formula and its a pretty even application with no streaks. Now i haven't used it on my face but one of the girls in the store uses it and it looked pretty good.

#2: So in round two we have the N.Y.C bronzer in "Sunny". Like i said in my previous post (top 10 under $10 [summer]) i just really like this bronzer because of 2 reasons. 1) its cheap & 2)its matte.

Available at most drugstores for around $3 

#3: This is the Body & Leg shine stick from The Body Shop. Its in a convenient deodorant style stick for easy application. I bought it last summer and mostly use it on my legs. I personally just run it down the middle of my leg for an elongating and slimming effect. My friend likes to use it all over her legs for a color tint. I would definitely got with the 02 shade because it does give off more color. Its somewhat of a sticky consistency so let it dry before you go to the beach so the sand doesn't stick to you. www.thebodyshop.com $10 

#4: So the secret to an even and long lasting sunless tan is to exfoliate your legs before applying the sunless tanner. I use the St. Ives invigorating scrub for my face and love it! And since i already have it i just use it on my body as well. I like this one over sugar scrubs because the exfoliants don't dissolve so i can wash them off when I'm ready and not when they choose to melt. It has a fresh scent which shouldn't be an irritant. In most cases you can find the tube for around $3 but i like the tub which is around $5 because i can make sure to get all the product. They are both available just about anywhere you can buy soap.

 #5: I just picked up this bronzer today. Its the Physician's Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer. It comes in 2 shades (light and medium) and is made with 100% cashmere extract. It has a slight shimmer but only on a quarter of the product. The color pay off is light. Its better for that sun kissed look as opposed to a full out tan. The packaging is very cute and efficient. The product is in the top section, but in the bottom section is a usable brush and a mirror. The only complaint i have is that its not very travel friendly since its just a flap keeping it closed. This is available at most drug stores for around $13.

#6: The last product is the ELF Everyday Brights eyeshadow palette. I'm including this in my tanning post because  it includes colors that are very flattering on tan skin. Golds, coppers, greens, and blues accentuate the warm color in the skin and make the eyes pop. I like this palette because of the price and variety of colors but like with any eyeshadow the color payoff is best when using a primer first. I also recommend using this more with your fingers, a wet sponge (not foam like the one it comes with) applicator, or a stiff eye brush. It does come with a mirror which is convenient and the packaging is very sleek and perfect for travel. You can get this at www.eyeslipsface.com and select Target stores for $5.
