The Cats Meow

Today's post is a review on the Hello Kitty Charmmy Kohl Eyeliner Kit from Sephora. It includes 7 mini kohl pencil eyeliners. The colors it comes with are (swatched below in order)... goodnight dreams (black), grape juice (purple), chocolate milk (brown), happy cloud (pearl white), blue sky (light blue), bicycle (emerald green), & blueberry (navy). The color pay off is great and very vibrant. They glide on very smoothly and are great for smudging. They all come in a convenient slim tin with Hello Kitty on the front. I have almost no complaints about this product. The only thing i didn't like was that because the consistency is so creamy they did tend to smear to easily. Now i didn't wear an eye primer or set the eyeliner with a powder so that may have contributed to the smearing. Overall i love them! I'm not sure if it is a limited edition product but like most Hello Kitty beauty products its very likely to sell out especially since its such a good value. I think these are going to be a top pick for the line ♥

Don't have a yaht but i dress like i do ;-]

My favorite color to wear is navy blue so the "Nautical" trend is one of my all time favorites. Its a classic look that makes you look like a million bucks. You can currently find some pieces anywhere and everywhere. I also love the crisp nautical look because a red lip, purse, belt, or heel is the perfect cherry on top! If your not to into the white and blue color scheme grey, khaki, and yellow can be adjusted to the trend with the perfect accesories. So whether your sailing at sea or staying on land Bon Voyage ♥

SOS... The gel & heat to Pauly D's head killed his fashion brain cells!

Recently Jersey Shore's (my shameful guilty pleasure) Pauly D criticized one of the girl's denim outfit. He believes denim is no longer in style but i absolutely must DISAGREE. i absolutely love denim and with summer approaching we are reviving a trend from the 80s/90s... the denim vest! whether its a cropped denim vest being dressed up with a button up blouse and trousers or dressed down with a vintage tee and sneakers its fabulous and comfortable. I especially love a classic denim vest over a girly flowy dress. Cowgirl chic or a hip hop throwback the denim vest is here today, tomorrow, & forever ♥

I wanted to share this quick video on how to rock a scarf. Its by YouTube's michellephan. I love silk scarves especially for spring and the video shows how versatile they are! I also wanted to share my great buy. In the picture you see my 100% silk Valentino scarf which i only paid $10 for! and it is real it was just majorly discounted and i got to it before anyone. Stores like Macys, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and JC Penny carry a great selection. So go ahead and accessorize any look with a simple scarf ♥

Can I get a flowy skirt to go with that free spirit…

Gypsies traveled centuries to bring us this years Boho Chic style. They not only made their mark in history but also in fashion. Everything from floor length skirts and vintage fabrics to bangles and head scarves. One of my favorite parts of the bohemian trend is the hippie style headbands. It can change the mood of any outfit. These styles are perfect for a night on the town or a lazy summer day ♥

Saving the World one Face at a time

With so much hairspray and perfume in the atmoshpere i think its time we give mother nature a helping hand. Organic and natural products use to be good for the Earth but awful on your skin and hair. Well im here to share not just my top NATURAL products but these are also some of my all time favorite products. Here they are in no specific order ♥

 1. Lavera Kajal Eyeliner: Lavera is a German company producing all natural cosmetics. I just recently picked up this eyeliner in black. It goes on effortlessly and last a long time. I wouldnt say all day but long enough. Available at Target $10

2. Eco-Tools. They produce beauty tools like cosmetic brushes, scissors, mirrors, sponges, and more recently body products. I have just about every cosmetic brush they make and love them all. Best of all theyre made of bamboo, recycled aluminum, and super soft cruelty-free bristles. Available at most drug stores $5-$15

3. Carol's Daughter Hair Milk: Although this product is designed for curly hair i use it in my wavy hair. I use to put mouse and hairspray in my hair to maintain my waves frizz free but i hated how it made my hair hard. Now my hair is frizz free and managable. The hair milk is more of a cream than milk you put in your hair while its still damp. It is one of my pricier hair items but it last a really long time. If you use it about 3 times a week the 10oz bottle will last about 6 months. I always keep it in stock. Available at Macy's,, & $20

4. Lush Dark Angels Face Cleansing Bar: All of the Lush products are all natural. The amazing thing about this cleansing bar is that it removes oil from your face. Ironiclly enough it looks like coal but i promise it wont dirty up your face just clean it. Available at Lush stores & $10.95

5. Burt's Bees Lip Balm: This is just a reasonable priced chapstick with great results. It has pomegranate oil which is great for smooth moisturized lip. Available at most drug stores $3

Orange you glad i didnt say Banana?

With spring and summer approaching those bright colors in our make up and clothing collections are sneaking back in. One of the hottest colors this spring and summer season is gonna be ORANGE! Unlike red and pink, orange is universally flattering. The most simple way to add this trend to your makeup routine is by starting out with a blush in an orange or coral shade. And if your more bold and ready to dive in head first a bright orange lip can brighten up any look ♥

Picture Info: M.A.C's lipstick in "Neon Orange" $14.50, Smashbox blush in "Paradise" $24

Legs worth their weight in Gold

So i am in love with the new innovative way to wear bling. You can wear it over tights in the winter or with a bare leg in the summer. It adds an egyptian/ gypsy feel to any outfit. I love how its an unexpected way to show off your legs. Although i have yet to see any of these in stores they are available online ♥

Picture Info: Both available on $49.99 (left) & $34.99 (right)

Heroic Lips... Lasso of Truth not required

So i just wanted to share my thoughts on MACs Wonder Woman "russian red" lipstick. First of all i was beyond excited to find out there was a Wonder Woman limited edition line because unlike Hello Kitty shes not so common. Now getting to the product itself... The color is very pigmented and since it is a matte red it stays on for a long time. It goes on smoothly and doesn't dry your lips. Unfortunately its not a red that's flattering on all skin tones. Being a a red too deep for fair skin but not deep enough for darker skin it really only accommodates a medium complexion. With a gloss on top it can work on all skin tones. I do highly recommend a liner because it being an intense color that if it runs it cant go unnoticed. Overall i love this lipstick and i would say its my #1 pick of the Wonder Woman line ♥

One day these boots are gonna walk all over you

I feel an essential shoe in every woman's closet is the oh so bad knee high boot! They can be paired with anything. They are versatile enough to dress up with a skirt and cardigan or dress down with jeans and a vintage t-shirt. The bad girl shoe is always in style. It may be too daring for some ladies but i say "why not" get a boot that makes u feel like a sexy villain or Victoria's Secret Angel. And u can always wear them in the bedroom until u build the courage to wear them out ♥
